Each applicant must submit the following documents to the College of Graduate Studies:

One completed College of Graduate Studies' Application form.

- Three original Letters of Reference from people familiar with your academic record and potential for investigative research.
Recommendation letters can be scanned and sent via email to admiss@upstate.edu but MUST be on college letterhead and signed with a pen signature or electronic signature.

- Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended.
- Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.
(The advanced subject test is helpful, but not required.)

Application Deadlines
Doctoral and Masters Programs
There are no application deadlines for the Doctoral (PhD) and Masters of Science (MS) programs in the College of Graduate Studies. However, review of applications begins early December. For PhD applications, priority will be given to those applying before April 1st.
