The Research Technology Core provides hardware and software support for a variety of devices and connected instruments. This includes Windows, MacOS and Linux. We coordinate with vendors to ensure compatibility between clients/instruments and our network security policies and standards.
Dell is our standard PC manufacturer and on NYS Contract. See pricing information for standard PC models. A custom buld may be requested below.
Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) are utilized to manage and deploy software, operating system and security updates on PCs.
Jamf is utilized to manage and deploy software, operating system and security updates on Macs.
