Matthew started working at SUNY Upstate in 2013 as a PC Support Specialist. He has been supporting researchers’ technology needs as the liaison between Research and IMT since 2015 and established the Research Technology Core in 2022.
Wendi Ackerman, MLS

Wendi is an Upstate REDCap administrator and assists end users with project set up, troubleshooting, and training. She also supports the Figshare, the campus research data repository. She is also knowledgeable about research data management and sharing plans, copyright, open access, and the publishing environment. Wendi has been at Upstate since 2003, previously as an Associate Librarian with the Health Sciences Library.
Michael Kopacko
Research Technology Support Technician
Mike supports rresearch lab facilities' technology needs, including installing, troubleshooting and repairing PC, Mac and Linux hardware and software applications, developing, troubleshooting issues with computer interfaces to research equipment, and implementing solutions for diverse computing environments supporting researchers and scientists.
Michael Mulligan
Mike supports Upstate's data analysis and visualization environments by designing solutions and adapting systems, including Tableau, to provide custom solutions to meet a wide range of operational needs. As REDCap database administrator, he performs system maintenance and upgrades, and extends REDCap functionality.
