Neurorehabilitation

The Rehabilitation Unit at University Hospital has a comprehensive Neurology rehabilitation program for patients whose disability is secondary to an acquired neurologic disorder, for example:

  • Stroke
  • MS
  • Guillain Barre Syndrome
  • Neuropathies
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Brain Tumors
  • Other Neurological Deficits

The interdisciplinary team will work with patients and families to regain function and return to the community.

The program includes:

  • Comprehensive Medical Management
  • Self Care Program
  • Functional Communication Program
  • Cognitive/perceptual Re-training
  • Community Re-entry Program
  • Leisure Education
  • Case Management
  • Therapeutic Exercise and Functional Mobility/Activities Program
  • Psycho-social Needs Assessment

The rehabilitation can be continued at one of our outpatient Neurological Program sites.
