Amputee Rehabilitation

Any patient having an amputation can be devastated by the physical, psychological and social changes. Inpatient rehabilitation can assist a patient to regain self-confidence and the skills needed to manage at home. If the plan is for a prosthesis, the staff will help you to prepare your stump, watch for signs of infection and help you to connect with a prosthetic vendor when the time is right.

Our Case Manager and therapist will complete a home assessment, identify equipment needs and work with you to be successful once you are home.

Patients can continue in our outpatient program and receive additional assistance working with a new prosthesis or learning to get around without a prosthesis.
