Radiation Safety Exposure

Both PET/CT and SPECT/CT exams involve slight exposure to radiation. Any risks from the radiation are too small to be measured directly and when compared to other every day risks are minimal.

The benefits from nuclear medicine exams performed in our office generally outweigh the risks.

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding it is important that you notify your doctor and consider alternative exams.
