Justin M. Ryan, PhD

Justin Ryan is an applied mathematician and data scientist. He grew up in nearby Weedsport, NY, and earned his BS, MS, and PhD in Applied Mathematics from Wichita State University, KS. From 2015-17, he held a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Mathematics at Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Rosario, Argentina, through Argentina’s national science foundation. Justin’s mathematics interests are in abstract and computational differential geometry; specifically, pseudo-Riemannian 2-step nilpotent Lie groups.

Justin is interested in all aspects of the lab’s research program. His work is primarily focused on the lab’s clinical database research projects, and developing analytical methods to appropriately and efficiently identify trends in big data.

Outside of the lab Justin likes to cook, paint, and spend time with his dogs and family.
