Medical Student Away Rotation Logistics
The SUNY Upstate Medical University visiting student ophthalmology rotation occurs at the Center for Vision Care at 550 Harrison St, Suite L and adjacent Upstate University Hospital. A major barrier and source of stress for all away rotations is figuring out where to live and where to park while on rotation. This webpage seeks to give a list of potential options. We want to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions from previous rotating students in collating these resources.

Parking Options
The 550 Harrison parking lot is privately owned with a daily rate of $15 dollars and a wait list for new monthly passes. This is usually not an option. The Oncenter Garage is located 1 block away at 400-498 E Adams Street. The daily rate is $6 if you're in by 9am ($7 otherwise). Many of the ophthalmic technicians park here.
