Certified industrial hygienist Greg Siwinski, from the Occupational Health Clinical Center at Upstate, tells about his travels to West Virginia, an area with a long history of environmental contamination and a large population of coal miners. One similarity he noticed between Appalachia and Upstate New York: the exploitation of people doing hard work.
