60 Day Retention Program
Every newly hired RN and LPN at University Hospital is scheduled, as part of their orientation process, to attend a 60 Day Retention meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to dialogue with our new employees about how their experiences have been related to joining the UH team. Topics such as the hiring process, preceptors, and orientation are discussed, and the data collected is trended and distributed in a quarterly report to all of the Nursing leadership and staff. Action plans are then developed in an effort to make improvements.
