Lawson Materials Management Information System

University Hospital is utilizing the Lawson software system to manage all activities in materials management.

This sytem is utilized by all the departments within materials management to include Hospital Purchasing, Central Stores, Distribution Services and Central Receiving.

The Lawson Web Requisition allows hospital personell to order (requisition) all of their ongoing needs to Hospital Purchasing and Central Stores through the hospital's intranet uilizing Internet Explorer right on their workstation. Any supplies or requests that you would normally send a paper requisition to acquire can be obtained through this on-line process.

If you would like to utilize this system, there are two forms that need to be filled out and submitted to give acces to the system and authorize department expense account number access.

These forms are linked below, one goes to Hospital Purchasing upon completion and the other to IMT.

You will also need some training on the correct use of the system, there is a class listing below. To sign up for a class please register to Palma Sheer at sheerp@upstate.edu or by phone at ext. 4231. You will receive some training materials as well that will help you as you learn to use this method for requistioning.

Update - If you are receiving an "Err on Page" message when trying to access the new Web requisition homepage, you will nee to install a couple of patches to your Internet Explorer to make it compatible. Follow the instructions on this link: Click Here . Once you have installed the patches you will see the new home page. Select requisitions on the left and you will be in the Web Requisition screen.
