Hospital Chaplains and spiritual care volunteers offer spiritual care as part of the health care team.
Please contact the chaplains at 4-4687 from a hospital phone, or from outside 464-4687. For emergencies, call the operator.
A reason to call on us would be for:
- Spiritual encouragement
- Prayer
- Sacraments or religious rituals
- Pastoral support in times of stress
- Contact with your home congregation and clergy
- Spiritual literature or materials
- Family support
- Help in interpreting your spiritual needs to staff

Center for Spiritual Care Announces New Mass Schedule
Beginning July 31st, Mass will be celebrated by our new Priest Chaplain, Father Innocent Onyenagubo, in the Interfaith Chapel on Mondays at noon, Fridays at noon, Saturdays at 4 pm, and Sundays at noon. Fr. Innocent welcomes assistance from readers, singers and musicians with these masses. Please contact him at 4-5595 with any questions. |

Intensive Prayer Circle
The members of the Spiritual Care Service's Intensive Prayer Circle are ready to cover you and your family with intercessory prayer throughout your stay at University Hospital.
Your prayer requests will be offered with the utmost respect and confidentiality.
The Intensive Prayer Circle is made up of members of a variety of congregations from throughout Central New York.

Silent Meditation Sessions
Spiritual Care Services and the Stress Reduction Program offer Silent Meditation Sessions Tuesday evenings from 5:30 pm until 6:15 pm. Silent Meditation Sessions meet in the Interfaith Chapel just behind University Hospital's Information Desk on the first floor. The format is a 15-minute guided sitting meditation followed by a 30-minute silent group sitting. No meditation experience is required. Chairs are provided, however you may bring cushions if you wish.

Spiritual Care Channel on TV
Channel 40 is our Spiritual Care Channel on the hospital’s patient television network. Join us from your bed if you are unable to visit the chapel in person.
Channel 50 is the Meditation Channel. Turn this on to experience beautiful scenery and soothing music. It’s great for relaxing!
