Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders Program

The Upstate Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders Program is a nationally recognized center for the assessment and treatment of ADHD.

Children, adolescents, and adults referred to this clinic for evaluation undergo a comprehensive protocol of behavior rating scales, interviews, and psychological testing. Trainees work directly with Dr. Michael Gordon and his staff in all phases of this process and learn the skills required to handle ADHD referrals.

These skills include:

• conducting semi-structured interviews
• interpreting rating scales
• administering computerized measures of attention and self-control
• formulating recommendations
• communicating results effectively

Trainees also have the opportunity to become involved in ongoing research and in an array of ADHD-related treatment modalities.
