Cytopathology

Cytology offers consultative services for cytologic samples from all body sites, using various collection techniques, particularly fine needle aspiration (FNA) which may reduce the need for more invasive procedures.

A variety of immunologic cell markers are employed to aid in establishing a primary site of malignancy. Thin layer preparation technology is available for improved Pap smear collection, procssing, and evaluation. PAPNET is also available for computerized re-screening of GYN smears.
