About HealthLink On Air
HealthLink on Air (HLOA) is a 60 minute, taped radio program that airs every Sunday on WSYR (570 AM) at 9 a.m.
It is an interview-format/magazine-format program that covers health care issues, advances, trends, ethics, events and education opportunities.
As with its "parent," the HealthLink seminar series at ShoppingTown, the goal of HLOA is to further Upstate's mission as the provider of the "academic difference in health care" to the Central New York community.
The program will feature interviews with health care professionals from area hospitals and health care organizations as well as visiting lecturers and individuals related to or concerned about health care issues.
The Medical Director for HealthLink On Air is Breast and Thyroid Surgeon, Patricia J. Numann, SUNY Upstate Medical University and University Hospital.
Dr. Numann received her MD from Upstate in 1965 and has been on staff at Upstate ever since. She is a Distinguished Service Professor of Surgery and a long-time and very effective patient advocate.
