Take Charge of Your Asthma!

The mission of the University Asthma Center is to build a partnership with you and your health care team to take control of your asthma. The program is available to patients with asthma and parents and guardians of children with asthma.

In the U.S. alone, more than 14.6 million people suffer from asthma - a 61 percent increase since the early 1980s. That includes 5 million children who collectively lose about 36 million days from school each year.

Our Approach to Asthma Treatment

Your asthma can be controlled. Expect nothing less. Instead of reacting to symptoms when they occur, the University Asthma Center will teach you to take an active approach to understanding what triggers your asthma and identifying measures you can take to prevent and control it. The goal of the University Asthma Center is to build a partnership with you and your health care team to help you take control of your disease.

For more information about the University Asthma Center at University Hospital, or to ask a question about asthma, use the form below to connect with a Health Connections nurse. Type in your email address or phone number (your name is optional, except that a first name is required for phone callbacks), subject, and message. A Health Connections nurse will respond shortly.
