Roche LightCycler 480 Real Time PCR / High Resolution Melt Curve Instrument

Investigators needing high-throughput real time PCR validation of microarray findings, or genotyping of individual SNPs in hundreds of samples at a time, can utilize the state of the art 384 well plate format that this instrument provides.

Bio-Rad Bio-Plex 200 System with HTF

The Bio-Plex suspension array system utilizes Luminex xMAP technology to permit the multiplexing of up to 100 different assays within a single sample.

Bio-Plex Pro II Wash Station

This instrument is a microplate wash station for magnetic and polystyrene bead based assays.

Leica Laser Microdissection Apparatus

The analysis of gene expression in localized population of cells or specific anatomical structures requires the ability to harvest these regions of interest with precision. The AMD Leica Laser Microdissection instrument makes this possible. Training is provided free of charge, and access to the instrument is available by scheduling (at $15/hour).

BioTek MicroFlo Select Dispenser

Consistent results for any high-throughout molecular biology protocol are now more easily obtained through the use of an automated fluid handling system, that can dispense extremely accurate volumes from 1 uL - 2.5 mL to an entire plate or rack of tubes in a matter of seconds.

Agilent Technologies Bioanalyzer

In order to assess the quality and quantity of minute amounts of starting material from laser microdissected cells, SUNYMAC also maintains an Agilent Technologies Bioanalyzer that is capable of assessing RNA quality from as little as 250 pg of total RNA. Highly-accurate sizing and quantitation of DNA and proteins are also possible.

BioTek Synergy 2 Microplate Reader

This high-throughput microplate reader can perform rapidly analyse full range UV spectrophotometry, fluorescence, and luminescence. It is also equipped with automated dual injectors and an incubator, to permit numerous cell-based assays (e.g., dual-wavelength ELISAs).

Data Analysis Workstations

The software needed to perform gene expression, genotyping, and real-time PCR data analyses are available free of charge to interested researchers on several dedicated high-end PC workstations.
