Dr. Eric Deshaies, a neurosurgeon, shows the mesh cage at the end of a new stent. The cage catches blood clots in the arteries of stroke patients. Upstate University Hospital is one of the first hospitals in the country to use a new stent that can remove blood clots from the brains of patients' having strokes. Deshaies calls it a "game changer" that can create much better outcomes for patients.
