SUNY Upstate Medical University Rheumatology Fellowship Program is a two year program that is accredidted by the ACGME.  Graduates of the fellowship training program will be board eligible for the certification examination in the subspeciality of Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Jaffari grew up in the Middle East and graduated from Karnataka Medical College, Manipal, India in 2010. She went onto complete her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign


isabellaMaria Isabella Pasniciuc, MD 2016 - 2018

Dr. Pasniciuc grew up in Romania, graduated at Carol Davila Medical School Bucharest, Romania. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic health system. Dr. Pasniciuc is a board certified in Internal Medicine and fellow of ACP. Special interest: autoimmune diseases. Hobbies: traveling, spending time with family, hiking, cooking.

Zainab Shahnawaz, MD 2016 -2018 

Dr. Shahnawaz was born in Secaucus, New Jersey and graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York.


dziamskiKonrad Dziamski, MD 2017-2019

Dr. Dziamski was born in Park Ridge, Illinois and received his MD in 2012 from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Outside of work he enjoys playing sports, running, hiking, skiing, spending time with friends/family, and traveling. 

SharmeenSaika Sharmeen, DO  2017 - 2019

Dr. Sharmeen grew up in New York City. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s- West Hospital system. She loves to read, travel and spend time with family
