Bioresearch Imaging Center
The Bioresearch Imaging Center enables researchers to acquire, process and export high-quality images of research material.
The center contains a Bio-Rad MRC-1024 confocal microscope and two fluorescent photomicroscopes: a Nikon TE 2000 inverted microscope equipped with a Spot Camera, and a Nikon E-800 upright microscope equipped with a Hamamatsu Orca-ER cooled CCD camera.
The core has the capability of photographing fluorescent and Differential Interference Contrast images onto 35 mm film or a high-resolution digital camera. The Imaging Center also has a Nikon Coolscan 2000 slide scanner and Microtek Scanmaker 5 and 6700 flat bed scanners for making high resolution digital images from slides and research material.
Acquired images can be analyzed using Image Pro Plus image analysis software, Zeiss LSM 510 Confocal Microscopy Software or Bio-Rad LaserSharp 2000 software.
