How to register for the CITI course

1. Go to www.citiprogram.org
2. Click on "Register for the CITI Course" (in red above the logon boxes)
3. Then choose State University of New York (SUNY) for the institution and scroll down till you see “Upstate Medical University” (click submit)
4. Next you will choose your user name and password. (click submit)
5. Enter your contact information. (click submit)
6. Choose the biomedical group that best fits the type of research you will be conducting.
   • GROUP 1 INVESTIGATORS:
     work directly with human subjects in research activities that do involve drugs, biologics or devices
   • GROUP 2 INVESTIGATORS:
     work directly with human subjects in research activities that do not involve drugs, biologics or devices
   • GROUP 3 INVESTIGATORS:
     do not work directly with human subjects, but rather, with data and/or biological specimens obtained from human subjects
