How to Register For the CITI Course

1. Go to www.citiprogram.org
2. Click on "Register for the CITI Course"
   (in red above the logon boxes)
3. Choose State University of New York (SUNY) for the institution
4. Scroll down until you see “Upstate Medical University” (click "SUBMIT")
5. Next, you will choose your user name and password. (click "SUBMIT")
6. Enter your contact information. (click "SUBMIT")
7. Choose the biomedical group that best fits the type of research you will be conducting.
   • GROUP 1 INVESTIGATORS:
     Work directly with human subjects in research activities that do involve drugs, biologics or devices
   • GROUP 2 INVESTIGATORS:
     Work directly with human subjects in research activities that do not involve drugs, biologics or devices
   • GROUP 3 INVESTIGATORS:
     Do not work directly with human subjects, but rather, with data and/or biological specimens obtained from human subjects
