What is the purpose of the study?
To determine if administration of a new drug called Pleconaril helps in treating babies with Enteroviral Sepsis.
Who is eligible?
For infants with enteroviral sepsis who are 15 days or less of age when they get sick.
What is involved if I participate?
- How long is the study?
Study medication for 7 days. Follow-up visits at days 10 & 14, months 2, 6, 12,18 and 24. - Is transportation provided or reimbursed?
Yes - Is parking provided or reimbursed?
Yes - What tests and procedures are involved?
Physical exams, blood samples, urine samples, stool samples and echocardiogram.
