Research Abstract
Christopher P. Morley, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Family Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University, with joint appointments in Public Health, and Psychiatry. He also holds a courtesy appointment as Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University. Dr. Morley serves as a course director and core faculty member of the Central New York Master of Public Health (CNYMPH) program, and as a co-investigator on several research and educational grants. He is also the director of the Central Region Office of the New York State AHEC System. Dr. Morley's principle interest is in health disparities, behavioral health in primary care settings, medical education, ethics, and primary care practice improvement. as the Principal Investigator of a HRSA Academic Administrative Units grant (D54HP23297), the co-principal investigator of a subaward from the University of Southern California on the "Genomic Psychiatry Cohort" grant (NIMH 5R01MH085548), and the founding director of the "Scholarly Pairings for Academic and Research Collaboration" (SPARC) program.
