Program Overview
Attending to resident ratio: 1:1
First year Diagnostic Radiology Residents
- Training stresses interpretation of plain film and fluoroscopy, body and head CT scan, sonography and Nuclear Medicine
- Lecture series: "An Introduction to Diagnostic Radiology": Basic principles of film interpretation; appropriate clinical use of imaging studies
- Mini-call: work with an attending and a senior resident until 9:30 p.m.
2nd thru 4th Year Diagnostic Radiology Residents
- 4 months in Nuclear Medicine clinic; plus, didactic lectures and laboratory exercises
- 3 months each (minimum) in Angiography/Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology, Ultrasound and Mammography.
- Elective time (4th Year) upon request

- Registry of Radiological Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, DC (6-week course)
- Academic stipend for board examinations, books and scientific meetings

- Access to Department Library; direct and Internet access to clinical campus library
