The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University was established in 1949. We offer a complete four-year residency program with in-depth training in all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology and have a total of 24 Diagnostic Radiology residents. The majority of resident training takes place at the University Hospital of the SUNY Upstate Medical University where the residents are closely supervised.

Our faculty and staff are deeply committed to providing the highest quality patient care and resident education possible. We firmly believe that these goals are not only compatible, but also complementary. The success of our program is manifested by our residents’ performance on the Oral and Written Board Examinations and by the ease with which they are able to obtain desirable fellowships or private practice positions.

Thank you for your interest in our program!
