RESEARCH ABSTRACT
Dr. Wang has been active in original statistical methodology development and statistical practice over a wide variety of medical, biological and public health issues. Dr. Wang’s publications can be viewed at Google Scholar.
Dr. Wang’s current statistical methodological research is focused on extending the classic nonparametric statistical methods, such as order statistics, bootstrap and empirical likelihood for L-estimators, quantile function estimation, survival analysis, biomarker evaluation, ROC analysis and L-moment. His research interests also lie in statistical methods related to longitudinal data analysis, penalized regression and data mining.
Dr. Wang is an established biostatistician with extensive collaborative experience over a number of areas, including pediatrics, infectious diseases/vaccine development, cancer, diabetes, psychiatry/substance abuse, pathology, pharmacology and orthopedics. Dr. Wang has been the lead biostatistician for three FDA-regulated trials for investigational vaccines. He has participated on multiple review panels and data safety committees as a consulting biostatistician in both government and industry.
