In addition, she dedicates time to inform and educate the public about emerging infections through regular media engagements.

She is a member of several pediatric and infectious disease professional societies. Her research interests focus on improving vaccination coverage in children. She has authored numerous publications focusing on vaccine hesitancy, emerging and S. aureus infections.

Dr. Shaw is an active vaccination advocate.
