Clinical Social Work Internships

The Clinical Social Work Internship Program at Upstate Medical University Department of Psychiatry allows for students to learn in a multidisciplinary setting.

Participation in the internship program will allow students the opportunity to develop:

• Assessment skills
• Intervention techniques
• Theoretical perspectives

Participants also learn how to conduct individual, family and group psychotherapy. It allows students to work in a team format, and apply classroom learning to actual practice.
