The Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, in the Division of Anatomic Pathology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, is a Joint Commission accredited clinical diagnostic facility which offers a growing menu of molecular testing on solid tumors. The laboratory is currently the only laboratory with NYS approval for a variety of molecular tests. The laboratory performs PCR, RT-PCR, FISH and CISH for adult and pediatric neoplasms including various soft tissue tumors, carcinomas and brain tumors. In addition to serving the Upstate Medical University community we are also a referral laboratory for other hospitals and clinics.

Submitting a Sample
- Choose appropriate test(s) from roster of tests available
- Fill out the requisition form
- Include blocks of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue and a copy of the Surgical Pathology report
