  • RN facilitates the care of patients in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Daily Interdisciplinary Care Rounds

Orientation Procedure

  • UST/HCT: Four Weeks
  • RN: 10-16 weeks
  • Competency Based orientation
  • Assigned Preceptor
  • Combination of classroom and hands-onclinical

Skills Acquired

Depending on your role, you will be able to:

  • Draw blood, perform finger sticks, start IV's
  • Provide care to medical-surgical patients
  • Apply critical thinking skills
  • Lead and/or participate in developing new patient care processes
  • Be proficient using a computer for patient care, research and word processing
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams for process improvement initiatives
