Organ Donor Awareness Day 2011

Elizabeth Mitchell addresses the Organ Donor Awareness gathering outside the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital urging the public to consider signing up for the state’s organ donor registry. Elizabeth and her husband, Michael (right), have each donated a kidney to their son, Ryan. Upstate officials announced that 261 Central New Yorkers are on the kidney transplant wait list and some may have to wait more than four years for kidney.
