David H. Northrup Jr. named to Health Science Center Council
David H. Northrup Jr., partner and vice chairman of Univisions Communications Group, a Syracuse-based communications company, has been appointed by Gov. George Pataki to the Health Science Center Council. Northrup will serve until June 30, 2005.
The Health Science Center Council is an advisory board to the Health Science Center president, Gregory L. Eastwood, M.D.
In addition to his position with Univisions Communications Group, Northrup is president of Axxess Television Production, a local company that produces television commercials, training and marketing videos. He also serves as a partner and vice chairman of Eagle Newspapers.
Northrup, currently a member of the Jamesville-DeWitt Board of Education, has a long history of service to local businesses and organizations, among them the Onondaga Madison School Boards Association, Loretto, Metropolitan Development Association, WCNY, United Way of Central New York, Cazenovia College and the Manufacturers Association of Central New York.
A native of Syracuse, Northrup resides in Fayetteville with his wife, Sharon, and their three children.
