Phonathon

Congratulations to the Class of 2015! They
are this years Phonathon Participation Award winners and will
have their Class Name engraved on the Phonathon Trophy.
In addition a $500 check, from the Medical Alumni,
will be deposited into their Class Account! Thanks to everyone who participated!
Each year The Upstate Medical Alumni Foundation raises
funds through our annual phonathon campaign. Our annual campaign
goal is $350,000. Without the help of our volunteer callers,
we would not be able
to continue to support scholarships and programs for our medical
students.
Have you gotten the call? Our callers will be contacting you
to ask for your support of the College of Medicine through
a gift to our annual fund. So please take a few moments to
speak with our caller — your contributions affect them each and every day. There’s
a certain satisfaction in knowing that your hard-earned money
can make a difference in something you care deeply about. A
gift to your College
of Medicine reinforces your connection to your alma mater and
supports an institution that is truly making a meaningful difference
in the world.
Your contribution can be used in two ways: as an unrestricted
gift to the Upstate Medical Alumni Annual Fund or as a designated
gift.
The enthusiasm of the Board members and students who make calls
during our Annual Phonathons express the gratitude of thousands
of other medical students who experience the difference your
generosity makes.
Students often make connections with Alumni, affording them the
opportunity to talk directly with a practicing physician about
their specialty, residency program, and hospital affiliation.
Our Board members get the opportunity to renew old friendships
and establish new ones with classmates from their medical school
days.
Phonathon Volunteers Each year, our volunteers gather in the Medical Alumni Office suite to make calls to their friends and classmates from medical school to raise money for the Annual Fund. We'll provide dinner and a list of your classmates; you provide the great memories and enthusiasm.
If you would like to learn more about becoming a phonathon
volunteer, please call Lori Murphy at 315-464-4359 or email medalum@upstate.edu.
When the dates for next year's phonathon have been determined,
we will let you know.
