Marketing supports a wide range of Upstate events.
Marketing works with other Upstate departments to create meaningful events--both on campus and in the community-- that champion employee and student groups such as veterans.
Significant University events – such as the anniversary of FDR’s cornerstone laying of Weiskotten Hall –are successful because of the combined efforts of Marketing, Government Relations, Alumni Relations, the Office of the President, and others.
Community events that benefit Upstate –such as the Baldwin’s annual Run for their Life—receive Marketing support through publication design and printing, team-building efforts, and staffing.
Campus events, such as retirement ceremonies for faculty members, receive publicity support from Marketing.
The Duck Race to End Racism is one of many community events supported by Team Upstate and Marketing.
Marketing leads Upstate’s presence at the annual New York State fair.  We conceptualize, design and install our booth; coordinate the staffing of hundreds of employee-volunteers; and make sure we meet, greet, and educate 10s of thousands of New Yorkers.
