Student Textbooks Used at
Geneva Medical College (1834-1871)

(i.e., Titles Eligible for Geneva Collection by Criterion # 8)

Most of the (usually annual) catalogs, circulars, course announcements, or registers issued by Geneva Medical College contain lists of books recommended to students by faculty in connection with specific courses, either as textbooks or as supplementary reading. The following inventory of these books gives the dates of recommendation in parentheses (according to the source codes below) and mentions every known English language edition that appeared prior to each date of recommendation. Titles of the same work sometimes vary from edition to edition.
