Well, yesterday was the start of Spring, but unfortunately it's not quite looking that way yet in Syracuse! That being said - it will be New Student Orientation time before we know it! I have added schedules and information booklets (below in block two) for all three sessions of the New Student Orientation Program. While all program schedules are subject to revision, the dates for the NSO programs are set. Please see below to see which NSO program you are scheduled to attend and make sure to place those dates on your calendar now! Attendance at your new student orientation program is very important to your success at Upstate Medical University.  More information will be periodically included on this page - don't forget to stop back regularly! If at any point you have questions, don't hesitate to give a call or send an email - if I am not in the office, Brandon Mathieu or Della LaVeck will be very happy to help you!

The following are a list of upcoming New Student Orientation Sessions!

Session I: May 29 - 31, 2013: Students in the College of Health Professions Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant programs and students in the College of Medicine Summer Anatomy program.

Session II:  August 7 - 11, 2013:All students in the College of Medicine, MD and MD/PhD programs, who did not attend Session I and students in the College of Health Professions Medical Scholars program.

Session III:  August 21 – 25, 2013: All students in the College of Graduate Studies; all students in the College of Nursing; students in the College of Health Professions Cardiovascular Perfusion, Medical Imaging Sciences, Medical Technology, Radiation Therapy and Respiratory Therapy programs and all students in the College of Medicine Master of Public Health program.

• College of Medicine White Coat Ceremony: Wednesday, August 7 at 3:30pm
• College of Nursing White Coat Ceremony: Wednesday, August 21 at 4:00pm
• College of Health Professions White Coat Ceremony: Wednesday, August 28 at 5:00pm

At this point all information, dates and times are tentative. As more information is available it will be posted here. Formal invitations will be mailed to all incoming students and family members in early summer!
