Extraordinary Imaging

With the aid of evolving imaging technology, mysteries once locked inside the human body are rapidly being unravelled. The Institute is equipped with some of the world’s most advanced imaging technology. This is one of the first research facilities in the nation to install radiostereometric analysis (RSA), which uses multiple x-ray images to measure minute changes in motion between joint replacements and surrounding bone.

Also located within the Institute are a new dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) machine and one of the few magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems in the nation that is exclusively devoted to research.
