Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Joslin
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes evaluates and treats infants, children and adolescents with endocrine and metabolic disorders that may result in developmental abnormalities, such as short or tall stature, slow or accelerated growth, early or delayed puberty, thyroid problems, obesity, bone and mineral disorders, diabetes and hypoglycemia. The center administers the New York State Congenital Hypothyroidism Screening Program which is designed to identify newborns with decreased thyroid function so that early intervention can prevent mental retardation. The Joslin Diabetes Center is a New York State Center of Excellence that treats children of all ages.
