The Health office offers free Flu vaccines annually to all Upstate University Hospital personnel. This is inclusive of active employees, students, volunteers and affiliates. Upstate's goal is to immunize 100% of our healthcare personnel and students.

Influenza vaccinations serve to:
- Prevent the spread of influenza
- Minimize patient exposure
- Optimize healthcare worker wellness
- Reduce absenteeism among personnel and students
- Impact wellness of our community
Flu vaccinations are offered free to current Upstate employees, students and volunteers. A valid Upstate identification badge is required to obtain a Flu vaccine.
Flu vaccinations are available at the Downtown Campus Employee/Student Health Office, as well as Community's Employee Health Office, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, during the flu season.
A limited supply of Thimerosal Free vaccines are available at each Health Office to those who are pregnant, breast feeding or allergic to thimerosal.
