Favorite thing about SUNY Upstate:
All of the faculty here are very accessible and helpful. The research program and techniques are very cutting edge.

Favorite thing about Syracuse or Central New York:
Syracuse is very beautiful considering natural things. The traffic isn't too busy here. I like the fall the most, when all of Syracuse becomes colorful.

Lei Mi-Mi, PhD

A research project led by Lei Mi-Mi, a PhD student in the College of Graduate Studies, has made the cover of a prestigious scientific journal.

Lei Mi-Mi, a student in the lab of David Pruyne, PhD, assistant professor of Cell & Developmental Biology, is first-author of the cover article in the July 9, 2012 issue of the Journal of Cell Biology. The journal's cover title is "Formins' Muscle Building Routine."
