Master of Public Health Degree Options
for PhD Students
MPH degree options for PhD students in
the College of Graduate Studies
PhD students in the College of Graduate Studies at SUNY Upstate Medical University have the opportunity to earn a Master of Public Health degree.
Two options are available:
- Students may take a one-year Leave of Absence between the first and second years of graduate school to complete the MPH.
- Students may enter the MPH Program after completing all PhD requirements.
All PhD students who are interested in the MPH Program must apply to the MPH program separately. The admission requirements for each degree apply. Students are responsible for the MPH tuition and will not receive a PhD stipend during the MPH program.
