The former CareBest pediatric practice in Belgium Meadows in Baldwinsville is now Upstate Pediatrics, a practice site of the Department of Pediatrics at Upstate Medical University!
What does this mean to your child...
Upstate Pediatrics (formerly CareBest) is a community practice that is similar to a private practice but with ready access to the benefits of a tertiary care center (e.g., sub-specialists in Pediatrics as well as other areas of medicine, surgery, diagnostics and treatment). The providers are faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. The practice is also an important asset for medical student and resident MD education.

Patients will find little obvious change, and will continue to see pediatricians Mary Green, Tobey Kresel, and Ellen Schurman and nurse practitioner Gail Colten.

24-Hour Access
Our providers will continue to see newborns in area hospitals and patients will have 24-hour access to Upstate pediatricians who are also available Saturday mornings. As necessary, patients will be hospitalized at University Hospital and eventually at the Golisano Children’s Hospital, which is under construction in Syracuse and expected to open in 2009.
