Upstate Pediatrics (Baldwinsville)

Upstate Pediatrics (formerly CareBest) is a community practice that is similar to a private practice but with ready access to the benefits of a tertiary care center (e.g., sub-specialists in Pediatrics as well as other areas of medicine, surgery, diagnostics and treatment). The providers are faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. The practice is also an important asset for medical student and resident MD education.

Our providers will see newborns in area hospitals and patients will have 24-hour access to Upstate pediatricians who are also available Saturday mornings. As necessary, patients will be hospitalized at Golisano Children?s Hospital.

Foster Care Services: ENHANCE

ENHANCE (Excellence iN Health Care for Abused and Neglected ChildrEn) is a nationally recognized multidisciplinary clinic which provides comprehensive health care to children in foster care.

ENHANCE was developed as a cooperative venture by the Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Child Psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and the Onondaga County Department of Social Services to serve the special medical, emotional/behavioral and developmental needs of this vulnerable population of children.
