Elective Description
|
To gain an understanding of integrative or "alternative" medicine through precepting with providers, readings, and conferences. The instructor will meet with the student to establish individualized goals and learning objectives. Students will be encouraged to understand unfamiliar disciplines and concepts of health within their cultural philosophical traditions while assessing them from a scientific outcome based methodology. Physician-patient communication regarding therapies and decision processes for utilizing them in medical practice will be considered.
