Mentoring Resources
In 2006, we instituted the Junior Faculty Mentoring Program. All junior faculty are invited to apply in the fall. Senior faculty are recruited to serve as mentors, every effort is made to match the needs of the mentee with the skills of the mentor.
The mentoring pairs commit to meeting at least 4 times during the year, and to work on a project, e.g. grant proposal, course curriculum, improved communication skills. Participants report that this relationship has been helpful and important to their growth.
