Emergency Department

The Emergency Department at University Hospital sees a total of 51,000 patients per year. As the region's only Level-One Trauma Center, University Hospital's Emergency Department is a fast-paced facility with state of the art technology in caring for the critically ill or injured.

Serving a 15 county area, we care for patients transported by ground or air from the Central New York region.

While caring for a large community of patients managed by transplant, renal, cardiology and oncology teams, our Emergency Department is supported by inpatient units which support the special needs of these patients.
