  • The following rates are charged by semester except for disability insurance which is for the academic year.

  • All medical students (except those entering with advance standing) are required to pay a minimum of eight full-time semesters before graduating.
  • Non-matriculated students pay all fees except the health fee and activity fee.
  • Activity Fee for Family membership is an additional $35.00.

Broad Based Fees

College Fee

The College Fee is a mandatory fee, authorized by the SUNY Board of Trustees that requires collection from all students.  Proceeds from the fees shall be used to supplement campus operations.  SUNY gives campuses authority to allocate revenue at their own discretion.

 

Student Activities Fee

The Student Activities Fee is a mandatory fee, which funds student life programs at Upstate.  The Upstate Student Government (USG) manages and allocates these funds to support class activities and programs for the over 65 recognized student organizations.  The fee also supports new student orientation, commencement, community outreach programs, subsidizes social and recreational programming, including travel and discount Syracuse cultural and sporting ticket events through the CAGB.

 

Technology Fee

The Technology Fee is a mandatory fee, used to help support the college's commitment to build, maintain and support the technological infrastructure of the campus. The fee helps to provide a high-quality learning environment for all students.

 

Student Health Fee

The Health Fee is a mandatory fee, in which proceeds from the fees shall be used to provide health services to all students.  Supported services include health care, health  promotion, mental health counseling, accessibility resources and related programs.
