short-term student-designed, student-led projects with a focus on the Special
Olympics Healthy Athletes programs and Special Olympics athletes as well as
the health and well-being of all persons with intellectual disabilities.”

Applications are accepted year-round. Students who are interested in funding
for summer projects should submit a proposal by the end of February to ensure
that our review process, IRB approval, and contract signing don't interfere
with an early summer start, however there is no hard and fast deadline.

Subject: Introduction and Exploration of Issues in Clinical Medicine
Location: Prague, Czech Republic, as well as other Czech cities (Pilsen, Brno)
Eligibility: Students from all semesters are eligible, but exposure to basic
physical diagnosis and pathology is an asset. The selective is geared towards
first and second year students.
Goal: The aim of the Selective is to enhance and broaden the thinking process
of future physicians at a crucial stage in their development by coming to
understand that the practice of medicine hinges on a correct thinking process
which takes place against a background of societal expectations and experiences.

MEDICINE AND TRAVELER'S HEALTH West Virginia University. A diploma course
accredited by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Course
is divided into four two-week modules in order to accommodate busy schedules
