Anastomosis/Integrative Medicine Interest Group (AIMIG)
With an eye towards the physical and emotional wellness of patients and health care professionals, this organization provides a forum for students from all colleges to learn, explore and experience the many facets of integrative medicine through sponsorship of speakers, panel discussions, experiential workshops and community outreach events. AIMIG seeks to encourage awareness of integrative medicine in the entire Upstate community, promote effective interprofessional communication and collaboration, and empower both health care profiders and patients to understand the philosophy and state of science of popular integrative healing approaches. In doing so, AIMIG hopes to inspire health care professionals to lead the development of an effective, collaborative, patient-centered, prevention-oriented and holistic health care system.
